Boston Laser Inc's (BLI) laser diode products are shipped 100% fit for use. Each item has been inspected and accepted by our Quality Control Department prior to shipment. These products are guaranteed to meet product specifications and to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days following receipt of the product by the purchaser. Certain products have an extended warranty as stated in writing. During the warranty period, product that do not meet written specifications or has failed may be returned to BLI for failure analysis. If the product failed due to manufacturing defect, the product will be replaced free of charge or the purchase price refunded at BLI's discretion.

    All BLI laser diodes are burned-in prior to shipment to eliminate infant mortality. From time to time BLI will perform life studies of its laser diodes to characterize their reliability, and BLI may make representations about laser diode reliability based on these studies. Nonetheless, the lifetime of a laser diode can only be expressed as a probability, and the lifetime of any given laser diode cannot be warranted.

     Laser diodes are easily damaged. Open heat sink laser diodes are extremely susceptible to damage from inadvertent mechanical contact. Laser diodes are easily damaged by excessive electrical current due to power supply transients or ESD (electro-static discharge). Laser diodes are intense sources of heat and must be well heat-sunk to avoid over-heating. Boston Laser Inc will work with its customers to solve problems.
